1. STRUCTURE OF HOUSE
A traditional house is made of wood, corner stones, pillars, rood, ceiling, walls, etc.

2. COMPOSITION OF HOUSE
A traditional Korean house is composed of Bangs(rooms) and a Ma Dang(yard). Bang itself is divided into ANBANG and SARANGBANG. ANBANG is where the wife stays, namely the mostly secluded place in a house. Kun Nun Bang is the room facing ANBANG across the floor. It is where the grandparents of the adult offsprings of the house stay. The floor between An Bang and Kun Nun Bang is a place for the whole family to gather. SARANGBANG is a separately built room in the house. It is a room for the husband of the house or the guests; it is the closest one to the outside. In addition to theses Bangs, there are the Hang Rang Bang for the servants and slaves, and the Chang Bang for the stewards.

3-2 HOUSES FOR MIDDLE AND UPPER CLASSES
These houses are usually built on a large site with separate specialized functions in separate places.
